“Coaching or therapy?” - Exploring when to refer a (potential) client to a medical doctor and / or a therapist.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2020, at 7 pm CEST, the ICF Chapter Germany, Virtual Eduaction will welcome Doris van de Sand, MCC to be our Featured Guest Speaker. Doris will explore what an ICF professional aka coach (in this context) could do to make sure that s/he is acting in line with the ICF Code of Ethics (COE) standards 8 and 17 and the Coaching Core Competencies (CCC) 1 and 2.

Here are learning outcomes and key takeaways from Doris’ presentation:

At the end of this session, you’ll …

  • know (even) more about the circumstances in which coaching with a (potential) client is not conducive.
  • have gained more clarity on how proficient you already are in recognising when it makes sense to refer the client to therapy.
  • have practically applied and exchanged your knowledge with colleagues using ideal-typical case studies.
