How to counterbalance Executive Risks

Managers still derail. They fight, flight or freeze. This is especially critical in times in which pressure is high such as the current worldwide pandemic. Managers and companies are interested to identify potential derailment and do something about it before it has significant consequences.

Derailing behavior often is situation specific. Therefore, it can be tricky to identify underlying risk factors in a coaching process. As a result, managers sometimes have difficulties implementing insights into their daily routines in a way that makes a difference.

In the webinar, we will present and discuss three elements of making derailment for managers less likely: How to …

  • assess personality-based derailment tendencies
  • debrief tendencies as situation-specific as possible
  • address underlying dogmas, in a way, that makes development less resource-intensive.

As an example, we will use HOGAN, the global premium personality assessments, and provide numerous examples from our work with executives and their teams.

Dr. René I. Kusch is Managing Partner of RELEVANT, authorized distributor of Hogan Assessment Systems. RELEVANT provides consulting and solutions for talent acquisition and talent development around the HOGAN assessment suite. The I/O psychologist René, consults leaders and Human Resources professionals of corporations as well as management consultancies in assessing, selecting and developing their managers. René has applied HOGAN with more than 2000 managers and their teams. Also, René has accredited over 1000 consultants and HR professionals for HOGAN. René is passionate about increasing awareness and clarity through personality assessments.
