Coaching Supervision: A Route to Self-Awareness or Self Delusion

This session will focus on coaching supervision as a route to developing self-awareness or self-dselusion. It will explore firstly it’s role in developing self-awareness, highlighting when coaching supervision works at its best. It will then focus on the risks of coaching supervision i.e. as the coach chooses what to take it might risk self-delusion. This will focus on why and how this might happen. The participants will be encouraged to think about how they can establish a relationship with a coaching supervisor as to avoid self-delusion, and contemplate what they might need to request of their coaching supervisor, so they can take everything to supervision, including what they are ashamed of! This will be a facilitated session where the participants will be given the opportunity to reflect in small groups.
